FUN MIXED AND LADIES COMMUNITY CHOIRS
The Mixed Choir started 14 years ago. We chose our name to best describe the ethos of who we are. We're a choir with a big heart, full of friendship, fun and lots of laughter. In 2016 we launched our second community choir, this time as a ladies choir.

I'm Lynne, the choir director, a classically trained pianist with a distinction at Grade 8 level and have previously taught piano for Yamaha Music School. I've been a professional touring musician all my life, singing and entertaining around the country.
My goal was to create the most fun and friendly choirs in Dorset that's accessible to all. I bring my years of entertaining and musical expertise to our rehearsals to provide as much joy and laughter as possible! Leave your worries at the door every week, come and make friends, and enjoy a good old sing-song!

These are community choirs so there are no auditions, no music reading and no experience needed. We sing a variety of songs from pop, rock, musical theatre and more from all eras. To enable friendships to flourish outside both the choirs, we also arrange regular coffee mornings and social events.

DO I HAVE TO PAY SUBSCRIPTIONS?
Your first session with us is free! To become a member, it's just £8 per week payable by monthly standing order. This includes weekly rehearsals, lyrics and vocal rehearsal tracks, and live performance opportunities. We don't operate just in term times as we meet most weeks of the year so there's plenty of year round singing and fun!
CAN I JOIN AT ANY TIME?
Yes, we are always growing our choir family. All are welcome to join at any time! Use the contact details below to get in touch to join your free taster session.
DO I HAVE TO PERFORM IN THE CONCERTS?
We usually perform at least twice a year, once at Christmas and our big charity concert in the summer. These are not compulsory but everyone who takes part always enjoys them!
